Dr. Milka Kostic is the Program Director, Chemical Biology at Dana-Farber Cancer Institute. In this role, Dr. Kostic supports a vibrant chemical biology program of about 120 scientists, who work tirelessly to develop smarter drugs for treatment of cancer, and beyond. Prior to Dana-Farber, Dr. Kostic was the Editor of Cell Chemical Biology and Structure, two research journals published by Cell Press, Elsevier, where she advocated for improvements in standards for validating and reporting chemical probes, as well as for value of peer review. Dr. Kostic remains a passionate advocate for value of science, standards for rigorous conduct and evaluation of science and scientists, promoting gender equality in society and science, and career development and well-being of early career researchers.
